“Brendan was awesome!!!! He kept the vibe getting ready very chilled and relaxed (even with a red belly black snake in the garden of the girls house they were getting ready at) and was with us every step of the day. We couldnt be happier with our photos!” – Lucy + Luke

Tell us a little about your day…
We were blessed with the most perfect day. We couldn’t ask for anything more, the weather was amazing and everyone had a smile on their face. Our reception and ceremony was held at Lucys parents property in Gleniffer NSW. We always wanted to have it there as Lucy’s parents were married there also 41 years ago, but thought it was wise to see what venues had to offer. For us, nothing really compared and it only took us seeing one other to realise we had everything we wanted right under our noses. As Lucys’ father had passed away a few years ago, having it on the property ensured he was with us every step of the day and it was such a blessing to host our closest family and friends at our home. We did our best to involve our family and friends as much as possible and had Luke’s aunty officiate the ceremony and a close friend sing our first dance. We still have friends telling us it was one of the best weddings they have been to and that makes all the stress and time put in worth while.

What was your fave part or moment from your day?
The whole day! Its hard to pick our a few! Of course the ceremony was beautiful, showing up and having 115 of our closest there to celebrate with us and realising they had taken the time to travel (majority are from Sydney) was the best feeling. I think for both of us the speeches were also such a highlight everyone that spoke absolutely nailed it and we were so happy (and emotional!!!) We also cannot recommend our band enough – they owned the dance floor and kept our guests entertained until the wee hours of the morning.

Do you have any words of wisdom or tips for future couples?
Dont sweat the small stuff! On the lead up you think everyone will analyse every small little detail but on the day you are having such a good time you don’t even notice! (and if people are going to complain they really shouldn’t be there) 🙂

Tell us a little about your day…
It really was the best and happiest day of our lives. Our family and the bridal party stayed together on the property where we got married in the days leading up to it, and it was so much fun to spend time with the people we love the most, and make it a week long celebration. On the morning of our wedding I raced to the window to check the weather, and from that moment I couldn’t stop smiling. It was picture perfect blue skies. Our ceremony was everything we wanted it to be; a small and intimate moment in the hinterland, surrounded by our closest family and friends. And our reception was a relaxed party over good food and wine, with great live music, and the most incredible floral chandelier.

What was your fave part or moment from your day?
Being introduced as husband and wife as we walked into our beautifully decorated venue. And hearing our vows to each other for the first time.

Do you have any words of wisdom or tips for future couples?
The day goes really fast, so make sure you take a moment out from the celebration to be together and take it all in. Based on some advice given to is, we pre-arranged for our wedding coordinator to pull us aside to have a private drink in the garden together inbetween mains and speeches. And it was the best thing we ever did. We were both on such a high from the day and were able to enjoy a moment together to debrief and take it all in before it was all over. Write your own vows! They are so much more personal, emotive, memorable, and intimate, and truly make the ceremony focus about you as a couple.

“THANK YOU SO MUCH. We have finally had a chance to scroll through all our images and we are in love. We are amazed at some of the shots Brendan was able to capture. We recall exactly where the photos were taken place, but Brenden is truly an artist being able to see things the way he does.

Figtree were so professional and helpful with the entire process from the booking through to receiving our images. Brenden was so chilled and as a result, so were we. The day ran super smoothly and we are in love with our photos. We could not recommend the Figtree team highly enough.” – Lauren + Vincent

Tell us a little about your day…
Our day was nice and relaxed. We opted to have our photos taken before our ceremony which meant we got to see each other with our bridal party and enjoy the time together before all our guests arrived. We removed tradition and only stuck with typical ‘wedding’ parts that were truly important to us. I believe this really reflected who we are as a couple and ensured our guests had maximum fun on the day.

What was your fave part or moment from your day?
My favourite moment by far was the ‘first look’. I cannot stop thinking about how excited I was to show my husband the dress and to see his face for the first time on the day. Brenden was fantastic at organising us to meet back to back, holding hands. There was so much excitement being able to hold hands and hear each others voices before turning around to see each other with no one else around. This really took the nerves out of our wedding day so by the time the ceremony rolled around we were both super chilled and ready to be married.

Do you have any words of wisdom or tips for future couples?
You do you! Do things your own way and be a rebel. Really think about what is important to you and why. You will be so grateful on the day to be able to do what makes you light up as opposed to sitting through boring traditions.

Our day was the perfect casual beach style wedding. We definitely wanted to pudh the relaxed vibe and i think that shows in the photos. All in all a PERFECT day surrounded by our closest friends and family.

What was your fave part or moment from your day?
My favourite moment was taking a minute to look around the reception and see all our loved ones having the time of their life.

Do you have any words of wisdom or tips for future couples?
Be true to yourselves and make that shine through on your wedding day.

“We adored Figtree! We fell in love with the photos when searching for a photographer. And when we met the team I couldn’t help but feel instantly at ease and like family around them. Made the day easy and Brenden was so chill and he made every part of the day clear to me as to what was going to happen. I really appreciated that. I also love the little wooden box and USB. So cute 🙂 thank you guys!!” – Kaitlin + Nathaniel

Tell us a little about your day…
We loved our day!! It was so special and really relaxing. I loved connecting with family and old friends. Best day of my life. Wouldn’t of had it any other way. So glad I found my handsome husband and best friend.

What was your fave part or moment from your day?
At the end of the night fire works flew up into the air. We had no idea about it. My husband’s mum had secretly done it all for us. We were so surprised and happy
