FIGTREE TIPS // LOOSE FLORALS + FOLIAGE

Over the summer season we will be releasing a series of blogs with helpful tips for our brides to be. Today’s Figtree tip is so simple however it will help your photographer create the most stunning detail shots during your preparations.

We love creating flat lays with all of your beautiful wedding day details including your invitations, shoes, jewellery, engagement ring, perfume and more. Adding florals and foliage will enhance your images and allow us to capture inspirational detail shots.

So here is our tip… get in touch with your florist and ask if she can bring a few extra loose florals along with your bouquet. Here are some example images from previous weddings.

We honestly couldn’t speak highly enough of the Figtree team! Throughout the whole process, they were an absolute pleasure to work with! Alice and Bec were so amazing on the day, they made us feel relaxed and at ease! We are so in love with all of our photos and are so happy that we chose Figtree xx – Danielle + Dane

Tell us a little about your day…
Our wedding day was absolutely perfect! We had the most amazing day with our family and friends, it was everything we had hoped for and neither of us could stop smiling all day!

What was your fave part or moment from your day?
It would have to be when we said our vows, at that moment even though we were surrounded by so many people, it felt like it was only the two of us.

Do you have any words of wisdom or tips for future couples?
Try not to stress about the little things, none of it matters on the day so just enjoy it!

“Jake and I opted to have an engagement shoot before our wedding, where we had Alice take our pictures. We got them back within a few days and we absolutely blown away by how they turned out. So leading into the wedding we had no doubt in our mind that the photos from the wedding were going to be incredible, and of course, they were! Alice is amazing, she made everything effortless and natural, capturing the raw moments of the day. Not only that, she is fun and so lovely! It was so easy to chat and get along with her.” – Shannon + Jake

Tell us a little about your day…
Wow! We knew getting married was going to be amazing, but we didn’t know exactly how amazing the feeling would be until our day. Although it wasn’t the most amazing weather that every bride dreams of, the weather held out just enough for us to complete our ceremony and photos outside! It was absolutely amazing to feel the amount of love and happiness flowing around the day and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding to share with our loved ones.

What was your fave part or moment from your day?
Our favourite part would have to be the ceremony, saying our vows was such a raw, emotional moment that we will cherish forever.

Do you have any words of wisdom or tips for future couples?
Hire someone to do the planning! We had byron bay weddings plan our day and they were incredible. From the planning phase to the actual day, everything went smoothly and nothing was forgotten. Another biggy for us was picking our photographer carefully (I think we did pretty well!)
