capturing weddings stories and love worldwide

“At every point of contact, Figtree Photography went above and beyond to accommodate us. We had a combined package with two photographers and videography.. which was just perfect for us. Brenden & Alice shot for us on the day. They are both so warm and lovely! We shared so many laughs together and they totally help alleviate any anxiety or stress about having pictures taken. We’ve dealt with every one of the team at Figtree and at each point of contact, they all go the extra mile. We are so grateful for the wonderful job they have done capturing our day. The details, all of our guests, the expressions on faces, the candid moments… if anything was happening, the Figtree team managed to get it. We’ve watched our video countless times and each time is just as special as the first. It goes without saying we would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone.” – Sherie + Jeremy

Tell us a little about your day…
We were so blessed to get the most stunning Easter Saturday and were married under a fig tree at Earth House, just out of Bangalow. We wanted a relaxed, fun vibe, a wedding that reflected who we are as people.. and it was everything we could of asked for and more.

What was your fave part or moment from your day?
Amongst so, so many… relaxing on the deck at our venue together as husband and wife, after the last guests had just departed. We took a moment to reflect on what a magical day it had been. It is the most humbling feeling to have everyone you care about in your life gathered at the one place, all to celebrate you and your love for each other. Its something words just can’t describe.

Do you have any words of wisdom or tips for future couples?
Soak up every minute. Without sounding cliché.. it really is the most incredible day of your life. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Take 5 minutes alone together at some time during the day.. its so nice just to debrief and articulate how you are both feeling. It is such an emotional day. Finally, invest in videography… it is worth every penny!

“The whole Figtree team are amazing, our photographers got switched around the day before the wedding due to cyclone Debbie and roads being cut off but they sorted everything out before we even knew there was a problem. The team were so lovely and made us feel extremely comfortable. They did an amazing job and went above and beyond to capture every moment from start to finish. We can’t thank you enough! xx”

Tell us a little about your day…
We had the most magical day and everything turned out better then we could have hoped. It was made even more special being able to get married at our home that we worked so hard on for months along with close family and friends to get the property looking so beautiful for our big day. Our tipi from Tipi Luxe looked stunning along with our tipi arbour my father made us the day before!

What was your fave part or moment from your day?
I don’t think we could pick one favourite part, our whole day was absolutely amazing. One funny moment that stands out though is when Chase’s ring didn’t fit and we struggled for quite some time to get it on (haha, what’s a wedding without a hiccup of some sort).

Do you have any words of wisdom or tips for future couples?
Enjoy every moment and take it all in as best you can because the day goes sooooo fast and before you know it, it’s all over! And hang in there for your beautiful photos because going through them all is like re-living the day all over again.

“We honestly can’t thank you enough for capturing every part of our day so perfectly. I never imagined that our photos could look so amazing! Thank you!”

Tell us a little about your day…
Our day couldn’t have been more perfect! It was relaxed and so much fun! We felt so lucky to have all our family and friends to celebrate with us.

What was your fave part or moment from your day?
A moment we will never forget is when we had just walked back down the aisle after being married and were greeted by all the people we care about who were so happy for us. We also loved being able to share amazing food and have a drink in the most beautiful location!

From Chic Weddings Italy founder Eva;
“We had styled and designed the styled shoot which occurred in the beautiful property Conti di San Bonifacio in Tuscany while Figtree Wedding Photography captured all the beautiful details. Considering that this property has acted as the background scenario of several weddings, we wanted the shooting to be more authentic and trendy, showing the beauty of this private owned property and most of all we wanted the shooting to be different and more inspiring. We took inspiration from the private owned property and imagined the story of the daughter of the owner preparing and having fun in her home, before the wedding.

We wanted to liaise a connection between the Hamptons and the Italian Maremma, using white green and brown colours adding elements which could connect both areas such as a beautiful horse and the use of the linens belonging to the noble family for the details for the table setting. We took inspirations from the surroundings in Tuscany where you can find often many sheep, using sheep skins as table covers and chair’s covers; the additional elements such as the private owned cutlery, embroidered coat of arms in linen napkins, and additional elements were used in order to give the sense of a “ noble” family celebrating the wedding of the young daughter.

We had incorporated two vintage looks for the model, one standing by the pool and enjoying her magazines and another one in vintage tennis look as she was playing in her tennis court with her husband to be.

We then added the elegant elements such as a black dress and a black horse and the bridal dress adding all the elements to the dining table which could reassemble all the colours and the general mood.”
